Bio
Will Felix was born in Brooklyn, NY of Haitian parents. He studied art at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, under Professors Morton Grossman, Craig Lucas, and Doug Unger. He also took courses at the School of Visual Arts, in New York City.
His work delves into symbolic explorations counter to commercialism and hyperconceptualism in the hopes of encouraging greater reflection upon our realities.
Working exclusively in the digital realm as of 2013, this poses a contemporary challenge of expressing painterly figurative abstraction influenced by the 20th century masters such as the Fauves and the Orphists, as well as the natural surrealism inherent in the Haitian Art of that period.
